VEEGUM® HS

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate

Category:

VEEGUM® HS Magnesium Aluminum Silicate provides maximum electrolyte stability and minimum acid demand. It is used pharmaceutical suspensions and hair care formulas containing conditioning agents.  Its relatively low viscosity contribution allows it to be used at levels high enough to enhance skin cleansing.

VEEGUM HS is a highly purified smectite clay suspension stabilizer, emulsion optimizer and rheology modifier.  VEEGUM HS also reduces the slippery or sticky feel of gums and polymers, while providing a silky, tack-free feel in topical preparations.  This smectite clay is synergistic with common thickeners such as VANZAN® xanthan gum and CMC.  These combinations will provide greater thickening, stabilizing and suspending properties than those developed by the individual components of the mixture.

Typical Use Levels: Between 1% and 3%

INCI Name: Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
VEEGUM HS is Purified Bentonite NF

VEEGUM HS is a pharmaceutical grade which also has topical and dental use in animal care.
