VAN GEL® B

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate

Category:

VAN GEL® B Magnesium Aluminum Silicate is an economical, industrial grade of naturally occurring smectite clay that produces uniform thixotropic aqueous dispersions at low concentrations.  VAN GEL B is used in latex paints for the development of smooth thixotropic consistency. VAN GEL B prevents syneresis and settling, provides dripless application, controls leveling and sag resistance, and eliminates or minimizes the need to stir the paint prior to use.  Unlike many other anti-settle additives, VAN GEL B imparts good in-can stability without excessive viscosity.  VAN GEL B performs the best in the presence of nonionic cellulosic thickeners.

Industrial grades of VAN GEL® Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, including VAN GEL B, are intended for industrial use only.  These products are not intended for other uses, such as for pharmaceutical or cosmetic use.
