DARVAN® 811

Dispersing Agent

Category:

DARVAN® 811 Dispersing Agent is a low molecuar weight sodium polyacrylate used in vitreous and semivitreous bodies, and in glazes.  A slip deflocculated with DARVAN 811 provides improved viscosity stability, higher solids content, and controlled thixotropy.  It will have a longer casting range and will not block the pores of molds, significantly increasing the life of plaster of paris molds.  Use of DARVAN 811 reduces “hard spots”, “yellow spots”, or “soda spots”.  It produces no calcium silicate scum and consequently less glaze rejection. DARVAN 811 is most effective in sanitaryware bodies when used without primary dispersing agents.
