A unique acidic smectite clay that produces dispersions in the 4.2 - 5.2 pH range for optimum compatibility with the naturally acidic pH of the skin. VEEGUM Ultra is a designer product, white and bright, slightly acidic for personal care applications and is the easiest of all the grades to hydrate.
VEEGUM CH is a water-washed natural smectite clay for use in high pH personal care compositions such as depilatory, waving and hair relaxer products. VEEGUM CH is a free-flowing fine granule that hydrates easily.
The preferred dentifrice binder because it ensures a stable and short paste or gel, regardless of temperature, with excellent brush stand-up, flavor release and rinseability. It works synergistically with organic gum binders, allowing the fine-tuning of dentifrice properties with minimal inhibition of fluoride recovery. The incorporation of soluble pyrophosphate with VEEGUM D maximizes fluoride bioavailability.
An ultrafine powder perfectly suited for uniform dry blends, most useful for direct compression tablets, pressed-powder eye shadow and reconstitutable treatment masks. VEEGUM F is USP/NF Magnesium Aluminum Silicate Type IB.
Provides maximum electrolyte stability and minimum acid demand. It is used in acid pH pharmaceutical suspensions, in hair care formulas containing conditioning agents, and in face masks. Its relatively low viscosity contribution allows it to be used at levels high enough to enhance skin cleansing. VEEGUM HS is Purified Bentonite N.F.
Provides good suspension at low viscosity. It has low acid demand and high acid and electrolyte compatibility. It is used in acid pH pharmaceutical suspensions and in hair care formulas containing conditioning agents. VEEGUM K is USP/NF Magnesium Aluminum Silicate Type IIA.
A chemically modified smectite clay and has the highest thickening efficiency of the personal care grades. It is used in sunscreen emulsions, anti-dandruff shampoos, skin cleansers and liquid soaps with abrasives.
